At Hirondelle, the primary role of our occupational therapists is to assist patients in overcoming the difficulties faced in performing activities of daily living. Our occupational therapists can discuss your goals regarding returning to home and work life, and assist in the development of new skills for daily living.
The ability to perform self care and basic household tasks can be significantly impacted as a result of surgery, stroke, falls, orthopaedic surgery, cardiac conditions etc. Our Occupational Therapists, can assist you in the transition from the hospital to the home through home environment assessments. From these location dependent assessments we are able to implement strategies to make the work or home environment safer for your return home.
